Our mission: To transform the way young people connect with the world-of-work
Together Bright Futures and MyKindaCrowd work with over 4,500 schools and have societies in over 50 university campuses. Trusted by students and educators alike, with over 32 years’ experience working with young people and their influencers.
As one organisation Bright Futures and MyKindaCrowd help employers reach the next generation of talent from school leavers to graduate, and recruit them on to work experience, internship, apprenticeship and graduate programmes. And critically we give employers access to this talent whilst they are still in education.
To achieve these outcomes we use a mix of face-to-face workshops, online challenges and rich video content, along with rigorous (yet student friendly) recruitment processes.
Leading companies chose to work with us, such as Nestlé, Lloyds Banking Group, AIG, Civil Service, Channel 4, PwC, Tesco, HSBC, Rolls Royce and Allen & Overy; well as entrepreneurs and government organisations.
As one organisation Bright Futures and MyKindacrowd help students explore their options post education, be that apprenticeships, college, or university and graduate employment. We do this by bringing young people into face to face contact with a wide range of employers and career opportunities.
But more than that through engaging in our activities run in schools, colleges and universities (such as our Bright Futures Societies, online challenges and workshops) students will be able to make themselves more competitive in the job market by finding out what their strengths are, what careers they will suit and direct them to make the best choice about their future and career
Deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg
"I'm pleased to be working with MyKindaCrowd helping young people connect with the world-of-work via work-experience. MyKindaCrowd are a fantastic organisation that can help support companies and organisations to engage with schools."
Damian Brown, Head of Learning, BT
“MKC were great partners for BT delivering Employability Boot camps. Will and his team were extremely responsive to some very challenging timescales on both design and delivery of the programme. They were innovative in their approach and gave us some really good insight into what would engage young people. Their tutors were highly professional and able to adapt their styles to suit the wide range of differing needs of the participants, all 847 of them!
I would recommend Will and his team to anyone who wants to build a successful programme, and we are looking for opportunities to work with them again in the future.”
Head of Business Development, Cisco
"Cisco are pleased to be working with MyKindaCrowd for the third successive year to engage with University students from across the country, and providing superb video content.”
Kate Timms, Head of Undergraduate Marketing and Recruitment, Cass Business School
"At Cass Business School, we wanted to undertake an innovative, unique and dynamic approach to raising brand awareness, to subsequently influence student recruitment. Working with MyKindaCrowd allowed us to achieve this goal in a very effective way. MyKindaCrowd clearly know what they are doing, it involved little briefing on our behalf to get the ball rolling, and the quality of what was delivered was exceptional. We were also extremely impressed by the reputation that MKC clearly have with our target schools and colleges.I envisage MKC being part of our recruitment strategy going forward for the wider University in future years."
Chris Borrill, Vice President of Training Solutions at Thales Group
“I was hugely impressed by the enthusiastic and confident approach of all of the teams. Not only were they well prepared and able to confidently put across their ideas but there was genuine innovation and imagination in every team. The team from Reading University richly deserved to win and we look forward to them joining us in the summer for their placements.”
